Amy Guion

Director

Mrs. Amy earned a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She was a classroom teacher with CMS prior to opening Sunny Days in 1991.

Amy moved to Charlotte from her hometown of Flat Rock, NC in 1983. Amy and Mark have been married since 1984.  They have two adult sons, Payton and Garrett.

Mark Guion

Accountant

Mr. Mark attended East Carolina University before graduating from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He worked as an internal auditor with Royal Insurance prior to Sunny Days.

Mark is a native Charlottean who has survived being married to Amy since 1984. Along with their two sons, they also have an English Bull Terrier named Tank, and a mixed breed rescue puppy named Callie.

Pam Mullican

Group Leader

Mrs. Pam earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering at Oklahoma State University, then moved to Florida for a job with the Department of Energy. She moved to Matthews in 1988.

She is a lifelong Girl Scout who began volunteering as an assistant leader in college, and continued to volunteer until helping with the troops her girls joined. Mrs. Pam and her husband have three daughters and one son. Mrs. Pam has been teaching preschool at First Baptist Church-Matthews for eleven years. She began working at Sunny Days in 2017.

Patti Pilsy

Group Leader

Mrs. Patti was born and raised in Malvern, PA. She lived in Chicago, Florida, and Colorado before settling in North Carolina in 2003.

Mrs. Patti has been in childcare for 19 years. She has been a nanny for 10 years, has worked in preschool with all ages, and has been at Sunny Days since 2016. She loves working with children because it keeps her young at heart. Mrs. Patti and her husband have been married 25 years. They have twin sons who are 24.
